As proposed, the Groveland Community Trail is visioned as a 3.25 mile, shared-use path to connect multiple community assets, while providing residents of all ages & abilities with a scenic, healthy, and safe place to enjoy the outdoors.
The trail will consist of two connected segments: #1) on-street/sidewalk along Main St from Town Hall to 441 Main Street (former Esty Lumber site) and #2) continuing off-road along the utility right-of-way (ROW) from 441 Main Street to King St at the Georgetown border.

At Groveland's 2014 Annual Town Meeting, voters strongly supported a warrant article to commit CPA funds for initial design work. These funds have been and continue to be applied for two purposes: #1) to confirm clear property titles on the utility ROW, and #2) to create a conceptual design for both the on-road and off-road segments.
As planned, this project will never incur a tax increase to Groveland residents. The trail will be funded 100% with existing Community Preservation (CPA) and MassDOT state funds.
